Outbid India ← the slot

Rules

One slot on the front page. It has a posted price. Pay it and the slot is yours until someone pays the next price up.

This is not an auction

The price is fixed and shown before you pay. There is no timer, no bidding war, and no way to lose money on an attempt. You pay a stated amount and you own the slot immediately — every payment buys a definite thing. If the page shows ₹149, that is what you pay and that is what you get.

The price

If you already paid, you only pay the difference

Raising your own listing costs the difference, not the full price. If you paid ₹49 and the slot now costs ₹149, taking it back costs ₹100.

Claiming the slot

What you can put up

A name, one line of text, and one link. 40 characters for the name, 140 for the line. The link is optional.

Any platform is fine. A company site, a product page, YouTube, Instagram, X, GitHub, Substack, Spotify, your own domain, or nothing at all. We don't care who hosts it. We care what it is.

What isn't allowed

Every listing is reviewed before payment. These are refused:

Being blunt, self-promotional, tasteless, or funny at your own expense is all fine. This list is about harm, not taste.

Links, precisely

The record

Everyone who has ever held the slot stays on the record permanently, with what they paid and how many times their listing was seen. Nobody is removed for being outbid. That archive is the part worth keeping.

A listing removed for breaking the rules above stays on the record as [removed]. The row remains; the text and link stop being served. Removal for breaking these rules does not come with a refund.

Supporting somebody else

Every live entry on the record has a Support button. Press it, pay the posted price, and their listing goes back on the slot — their name, their line, their link. Not yours. You do not appear on the slot at all; the record simply shows that listing holding it again.

Three things to know before you do it:

There is no way to pay to have somebody taken off the slot. The only thing money does here is put a listing up.

Seasons

When the price climbs out of reach, a new season starts: the ladder resets to ₹49 and the outgoing holder is retired into the record. Past seasons are never deleted — a reset never makes what you bought worth less than what you bought.

The numbers on the page

All three are counted approximately and updated every few seconds. They are honest figures, not audited ones — don't use them for anything that has to balance.
